Years later, IPS Rao launched an investigation, appointing officer Ananya Sharma who seduced Rup to uncover his network. As trust grew, so did the betrayal. In a final encounter led by ACP Raghav Mishra, Rup was shot dead. His story was not just of crime, but of a justice denied—and a soul lost too soon.
