This warm 90 minutes documentary shows us unknown blues musicians from Mississippi. They play everywhere : on the streets, in dirty little bars, in a barber shop, in big clubs. The film really captures the true faces of blues and shows us that this music had nothing to do with nostalgia or record company hypes. Documentary on the Delta blues.John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers And Friends: 70th Birthday Concert
IMDB 7.5 | Dec , 2003
Not all that many blues musicians (or any other kind, for that matter) live to 70, so British bandleader John Mayall had good reason to celebrate when he reached that milestone in 2003--and celebrate he did, with the admirable, 137-minute John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers: 70th Birthday Concert to show for it. Mayall, a capable if not exactly stellar singer and multi-instrumentalist, is best known for the many fine players who passed through his band over the years, and Eric Clapton, the most renowned of the lot, is on hand here, as is former Mayall/Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor. Clapton sings several tunes in addition to playing his trademark stinging solos on "Hideaway" and "All Your Love" (two of the tunes most responsible for the "Clapton is God" graffiti seen around London in the '60s), while Taylor is mostly impressive as well.Jake Bugg - Live at Eurosonic

IMDB 8.1 | May , 2011
In 1971, four college students got together to form a rock band. Since then, that certain band called Queen have released 26 albums and sold over 300 million records worldwide. The popularity of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon is stronger than ever 40 years on. But it was no bed of roses. No pleasure cruise. Queen had their share of kicks in the face, but they came through and this is how they did it, set against the backdrop of brilliant music and stunning live performances from every corner of the globe. In this film, for the first time, it is the band that tells their story. Featuring brand new interviews with the band and unseen archive footage (including their recently unearthed, first ever TV performance), it is a compelling story told with intelligence, wit, plenty of humor and painful honesty.Lindsey Buckingham - Live (with special guest Stevie Nicks)
IMDB 8 | Sep , 2003
Hailing from one of America’s most renowned and successful bands, Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham embarked on a productive and storied solo career that continues to evolve 18 years after his departure from the band. Reuniting in 2003 with Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham and his former cohorts released Say You Will and embarked on a worldwide tour. With this Soundstage appearance, Buckingham’s performance spans the various eras of his career. Whether performing Rumours hits “Red Rover” and “Peacekeeper” from Say You Will, or 1981’s Law and Order single “Trouble” and the title song from Go Insane, As an added bonus, the alluring Stevie Nicks joins Buckingham during the set, providing an intimate view of the chemistry that once propelled their former band to the top of the charts. Though their once tumultuous relationship was a topic that reached near-epic proportions, this reunion eclipses the controversy, placing all emotion back into the songs that defined them.Mike Oldfield: Tubular Bells III
